The mountains are right behind us. There's a ton of wildlife that you might see a bear in your driveway if you take out your trash too early. There's coyotes. There's deer. My son and my husband even saw a mountain lion on a hike once. That is great about Altadena. It is really very pretty and just adjacent to Los Angeles. I don't think people think there's that much nature that close to LA. The community right now is destroyed, the physical community is totally destroyed, and I know news has moved on to the next tragedy and the next natural disaster. That's just the way a news cycle works. But this it's gone. It's total devastation, and it doesn't look like it's going to turn around anytime soon. I think everybody handles it different. I don't think it's one community response. I think some people are able to bounce back quicker than others. Some people I find in some of the social media groups, they seem to really be stuck on that night. We didn't lose our home in the fire, so I cannot compare our experience to others. We're very much a move on type family. I mentioned in the other interview my older son had to have half his brain removed to stop epilepsy. So we've been through a lot of very difficult situations, very terrifying decisions that we've had to make. And. The fire wasn't as bad as that. That's all I have to say. But I, I am finding that I do see some people unable to move on. They're they're really stuck in their grief, stuck in the tragedy. Makes me sad. I kind of I wish I could say I'd like to say to them, it's time to move on. You can't. You can't live in that space in your head for the rest of your life. But I'm not going to do that. Yes, we just saw a couple of them two nights ago. We are in touch with them, but not like we were before. You know, there's some neighbors that I would see on a walk every night, and then you exchange pleasantries every night. You catch up real quick. That dynamic is totally gone. Some of our neighbors, we got really close to them during Covid. And so we had like a cadence of barbecues or come over for a quick dinner, or the kids might say, let's go ride our bikes. Several restaurants that we were dying to try that we weren't able to do. I don't know how they're going to make it, to be honest, because there's thousands and thousands of people that are gone and there's very little incentive to come up Fair Oaks or lake from another town to visit a restaurant again in a totally obliterated area. There's a burger joint on Fair Oaks. That Fair Oaks burger just reopened, so we're trying to go there as much as possible. My husband went yesterday and said it was packed. That's great.
