I lived there my entire life, so I had a lot of family, friends and people that I met growing up. Since I went to Saint Mark's, which was right around the street from my house. So I knew a lot of people, and I just grew up being around all these supportive faces. I would go to my brother's like Little League games, and I would just meet strangers and they would be so nice to me. And yeah, it was just a very supportive place. It is a little soon, but I definitely think that we are going to come back stronger than we were before. I think we've already seen some good stuff with like restaurants coming back and people wanting to stay in their homes and rebuild. So yeah, I think it's going to be stronger than it was before. I mean, I guess just staying in touch with people, like, even if they've moved away and stuff like keep talking and don't let being displaced or being out of your home and that sense of community and yeah, yes, I have that's pretty easy since I go to school with them and stuff. So yeah, I've been staying in touch. Um, yeah. I think probably very similarly to me. It's a tragedy. So I think everyone there's this shared sense of sadness about what has happened, um, for the future, I just hope that I know, like, it'll never be completely the same as it was before. I just hope that it goes back to being a place where you can walk around and see familiar faces and, I don't know, just be at ease again and go to local restaurants and cafes and just also have like the greenery and everything grow back and just kind of look like how it used to be, but better and stronger. I really love my tie. It's Odd Lake and they actually reopened recently, so I've been going there a lot. Developers. It's definitely kind of hard because these homes that people have lived in their whole lives and for generations are getting sold to completely new people. And I don't think the developers really have the community in mind as much. It's more of a monetary thing. So I think that is not the best thing that's happening. It seems a lot worse in the moment than it actually is. And you have to think about all the things that you do have and like the people who are around you. So I'd say to, you know, think about your family and your friends and what really matters. And I think we've all learned to be a little less materialistic throughout this and that ultimately we're going to come out better than we started. I guess running track helps me. It's always helped me kind of take my mind off of anything, whether it be school or stuff like this. So I think running helps a lot. It definitely was. It was right at the beginning of my winter season, so that was cut short, which was hard, and Canada was definitely affected by the fires a little too because of the air quality and all of that that happened. So it was a little more difficult. And since I had to move a lot, I had it took longer to get to practice and stuff. So yeah. Um, I guess thank you so much for having me. I think this is one of the important things that's going to help the process, but yeah. Thank you.","format":"text/plain"},"target":"https://lapl.aviaryplatform.com/collections/3578/collection_resources/164561/file/299667#t=3.6,177.98"}]},{"id":"https://lapl.aviaryplatform.com/collections/3578/collection_resources/164561/file/299667/index/90427","type":"AnnotationPage","label":{"en":["Auto-generated Index (2025-11-05 21:57:04) [Index]"]},"items":[{"id":"https://lapl.aviaryplatform.com/collections/3578/collection_resources/164561/file/299667/index/90427/annotation/2","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"Life in Altadena Before the Fires","format":"text/plain","label":{"en":["Title"]}}],"target":"https://lapl.aviaryplatform.com/collections/3578/collection_resources/164561/file/299667#t=0.0,30.0"},{"id":"https://lapl.aviaryplatform.com/collections/3578/collection_resources/164561/file/299667/index/90427/annotation/3","type":"Annotation","motivation":"supplementing","body":[{"type":"TextualBody","value":"The speaker reminisces about growing up in Altadena, describing it as a close-knit and supportive community.
